DOC Savannah is a community of documentary filmmakers and enthusiasts
DOC Savannah aims to serve nonfiction filmmakers and the communities of the Coastal Empire and the Low Country in Georgia and South Carolina as a resource to inform, entertain, enrich and inspire change through documentary film. We are an inclusive collective of artists working to support the future of the documentary storytelling form and build a network of nonfiction filmmakers in the South.
DOC Savannah is open to all filmmakers and community members.
The collective formed in September 2018 and has been meeting monthly since then. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit.
DOC Savannah believes in supporting local nonfiction filmmakers by providing community, education and opportunities to develop and workshop films-in-progress.
As a collective, we want to enrich our local communities with stories from all walks of life and to connect films and filmmakers with audiences.
